The Odin Pot

Crab/Lobster
60×60 cm bottom frame | 58cm height | weight approx 12kg

Our lightest pot to date – built with durable netting and featuring the same patented concept as the Midgard Pot, with two entry points at different levels for maximum catch efficiency. Easy to lift, handle, and empty, and well-suited for both recreational and professional fishermen who prefer a lighter pot.

Its low weight makes Odinteina especially ideal for those handling pots alone or from smaller boats.

A solid and efficient pot designed for both line and single-pot fishing. It comes equipped with escape vents for lobster (Ø 60 mm) and can easily be adjusted for crab (Ø 80 mm). The frame is made from 16 and 10 mm galvanized round steel. Two robust entry funnels at different heights ensure maximum catch filling. The pots is emptied quickly through the bottom opening. Fitted with 2 escape vents and a 150 mm release opening secured with 4 mm cotton twine (must be replaced with 3 mm for recreational fishing) to prevent ghost fishing.

Benefits of The Odin Pot

  • Quicker opening/closing/emptying
  • Our lightest pot
  • Suitable for both single and string fishing
  • Can be attached at both the top and bottom
  • Two-level entrance

The Midgard Pot

Crab/Lobster
60×60 cm bottom frame | 58cm height | weight approx 16kg

The Midgard Pot, our latest Pot specifically designed for string fishing. This pot is smaller, lighter, and stronger while also being quicker to open/close/empty. It is suitable for both commercial and recreational fishermen.

By switching to The Midgard Pot, fishermen can operate with fewer pots on board, increasing profitability and reducing the risk of accidents.

A solid and highly robust pot built to remain stable even in harsh weather conditions. The pot features adjustable escape holes for lobster (Ø 60 mm) or crab (Ø 80 mm). The frame is made of 16 and 10 mm galvanized round steel. Two sturdy entrances at different levels ensure maximum filling of the pot. The pot is emptied quickly by opening the bottom. It is equipped with 2 escape holes and 4 mm cotton thread to prevent “ghost fishing.”

Benefits of The Midgard Pot

The Viking Pot

Crab/Lobster
78×78 cm bottom frame | 65cm height | weight approx 23kg

Through test fishing of brown crab along large parts of the Norwegian coast, we have documented catch volumes that are up to seven times higher than with conventional pots, while the consumption of both bait and fuel is lower. We have won awards and prestige for our new, patented technology, which can be best described as revolutionary!

By switching to The Viking Pot, fishermen can operate with fewer pots on board, which increases profitability and reduces the risk of accidents.

A solid and highly robust pot designed for professional fishermen. Built to remain stable even in harsh weather conditions. The pot features adjustable escape holes for lobster (Ø 60 mm) or crab (Ø 80 mm). The frame is made of 16 and 10 mm galvanized round steel. Three sturdy entrances at three different levels ensure maximum filling of the pot. The pot is quickly emptied by opening the bottom. Equipped with 2 escape holes and 4 mm cotton thread to prevent “ghost fishing.”

Due to their size and the volume of catch, a lifting arrangement, normally a davit over the hauling position, is needed to handle the Viking pots. This reduces manual handling, and consequently minimises bad backs and sore shoulders.

Benefits of The Viking Pot

  • Catch more crabs with fewer pots
  • 25% reduction in bait use
  • Reduce fuel consumption
  • Change rot cord in one minute
  • Less risk of ghost fishing

Designed by and for professionals

  • Robust steel construction
  • Designed to withstand weather and wind
  • Quick and easy emptying
  • Efficiently stackable in height
  • Fits perfectly on a pallet
